A drama off stage, between perfectionism and megalomania. The young actor Arthur hopes for his first big success, while director Ruth fights for her last. The theater is on the brink of extinction, the director too, only the young leading actor still has everything ahead of him. The responsibility weighs heavily on his shoulders and four days before the premiere it begins to become apparent what no one wants to admit. While Ruth tries with her last ounce of strength to steer the play in an orderly direction, everything gets out of hand for Arthur.
